Silly 1+ Year Victory – I Can Wear Jeans Again!

It’s been over a year since my operation and I’ve avoided wearing jeans like the plague because, well…I’m not blessed with an hourglass figure so  the jeans cinched around my waist where my scar is, causing some soreness. See Things I still can’t do at 2 months

I ended up wearing skirts and khaki pants – even with a belt – but jeans would never work for some reason.  Off and on, I’d try to wear them and around 8 months in, I could wear them for a day, but anything more than that, I was sore.

Anyways over the Christmas holiday, I decided to try again and…to my surprise, I ended up being able to wear them for a week!  Of course, jeans stretch out the more you wear them, but I was never sore.  I haven’t really tried to wear them for a week again since – been opting for skirts and black leggings – but I’ll try again soon.  To be honest, it was actually a good way to keep myself from eating too much which is why I called them my “weight control pants”!

So…that’s my silly victory.  Wearing my jeans again after about a year post-op. \o/ << me cheering!
